Twice is one of the hottest girl groups around and their recent record-breaking achievement is proof enough.

JYP Entertainment’s nine-member act is the highest-selling girl group with the most albums sold on Korea’s Gaon chart, surpassing top-charting K-Pop acts Girls’ Generation and Red Velvet.

From their nine album releases, the girls managed to sell a total of 2,661,447 copies while Girls’ Generation came in second place, holding a record of selling 2,393,654 copies from their 12 album releases.

Red Velvet’s eight albums successfully sold 665,956 copies and the fourth place goes to Apink with 637,465 copies sold from the girl group’s 10 albums.

Twice wrapped up promotions for their hit summer song, Dance The Night Away, and are preparing for their first full-length Japanese album, BDZ.
