Dubai: The breakup between Filipino actress Kyline Alcantara and basketball player Kobe Paras has taken a dramatic turn, fueled by allegations from Kobe’s mother and actress, Jackie Forster.

On April 27, 2025, Forster released a lengthy and emotional YouTube statement defending her son and accusing Kyline of toxic behavior that allegedly impacted Kobe’s mental health.

In her video, Jackie Forster expressed her disappointment over the way the relationship unfolded, claiming that Kyline, despite being an advocate for mental health, "played" with Kobe’s emotional well-being throughout their relationship.

As of now, Kyline Alcantara and her management team at Sparkle GMA Artist Center have not issued a formal response. Meanwhile, public opinion remains divided, with fans of both Kyline and Kobe taking sides online.

Forster alleged that Kyline perpetuated "distorted" stories against Kobe and his family, manipulated public perception, and engaged in behavior that ultimately caused irreparable harm to her son.

One of the most serious allegations made by Jackie was that Kyline had physically assaulted Kobe during a heated altercation. Forster stressed that Kobe chose not to retaliate and instead decided to end the relationship quietly. However, she criticised Kyline’s camp for allowing insinuations that Kobe had been unfaithful, further damaging his reputation online.

Forster emphasised that her family initially remained silent out of respect, even offering emotional support to Kyline after the breakup. However, as cryptic social media posts from Kyline and her family surfaced — suggesting Kobe was at fault — Forster felt compelled to break her silence. She accused Kyline and her supporters of manipulating the narrative to protect Kyline’s public image at the expense of Kobe’s mental health and dignity.

Adding to the drama, Forster claimed that Kyline's family treated Kobe poorly despite previously appearing supportive. She pointed out the hypocrisy of Kyline’s father claiming to treat Kobe like a son while allegedly engaging in troubling behavior within his own household. Jackie warned that although she had chosen to withhold many damaging stories out of respect, she would not hesitate to reveal them if provoked further.
