It's finally happening for J.C.

J.C. de Vera is finally getting the break he's wanted since leaving GMA 7.

He was being groomed as the industry's next biggest teen star, but he had a big issue with one of the top executives of his former home studio. "I got involved [in] the fight my manager had with a top executive," De Vera said in a text message to tabloid!

"I didn't want to be in that situation, but it happened and I couldn't do anything about it."

He felt his career was over when he left the Kapuso network, but is relieved he is back on primetime TV with his own series. My Driver, Sweet Lover is the first full-length series produced by the revitalized TV5 since business tycoon Manuel Pangilinan took over the station early this year.

Also in the cast is former Kapuso star Richard Gomez.
