Dubai: In a surprising twist, Egyptian actress Mai Ezz El-Din married fitness trainer Ahmed Taimour in a simple and elegant ceremony.

This marks a new chapter in her life that she hadn’t hinted at publicly before.

Mai shared a series of wedding photos on her official Instagram account capturing intimate moments from the ceremony. The actress chose a minimalist white gown, while her husband — who is not from the entertainment industry — sat beside her during the signing.

Alongside the photos, Mai wrote:

“Praise be to God, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished. I ask God for success and for your sincere prayers for us.”

Within hours, the post drew thousands of comments from admirers wishing her happiness and blessings in her new journey.

Warm wishes from the industry

Several stars joined in the celebration. Actress Zeina commented, “I swear I’m so happy for you! A million congratulations!” while Huda El Mufti wrote, “You made me so, so happy! A thousand congratulations, my dear!”
Actor Ahmed El Saadani added, “A thousand congratulations! May God grant you joy!” and Wafaa El Kilani shared her excitement, saying, “What wonderful news! May God bless you and bring you endless happiness!”

Reflecting on her past views

The news comes just months after Mai discussed her single status during an appearance on My Guest with TV host Moataz El-Demerdash. At the time, she said she hadn’t met the right person who matched her outlook and ambitions.

She expressed gratitude for the success and love she has received throughout her career, adding that she believes everything in life — including love — arrives in its destined time.

Mai also revealed she holds no regrets about past relationships, explaining that experience has shown her those connections were not meant to last.
