CALVIN HARRIS
Harris was the buyer of Angello’s Hollywood Hills home, which sold last month for about $5.045 million (Dh18 million).
The musical roots apparently run deep at the two-story traditional home, which features a two-storey music room and recording studio.
Composer-musician Tom Rothrock — who has worked with such artists as the Foo Fighters, Moby and Gwen Stefani — is another former owner.
Sitting high up from the street, the 1940s house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in a little more than 6,000 square feet of living space.
Interior details include vaulted ceilings, built-in bookshelves and subdued hues. Oversized picture windows make the most of city-lights views.
Market lights cross over the swimming pool and patios in the backyard. There’s also an outdoor shower.
Harris, 33, has hits that include The Girls, I’m Not Alone and Let’s Go. He won a Grammy for best short-form music video in 2013 for the song We Found Love, which features Rihanna.
Angello, with Swedish House Mafia, co-produced hits such as Save the World, Greyhound and Miami 2 Ibiza.
The 35-year-old is the founder and owner of Size Records and its sister label, X.
FRANKIE MUNIZ
Muniz, 32, made his first appearance in the Hot Property column more than a decade ago, when he listed one of his Westside homes at age 18. In recent years, however, he’s made his home in various parts of south-central Arizona.
Set behind walls and gates in the Biltmore area, the Andalusian hacienda-style house dates from 1935.
Original floors, hand-finished walls and beamed ceilings are among the features of the 5,300-square-foot house, which has been restored and modernised. Updates include a farmhouse-style kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and floating shelves.
The master suite comprises his and hers bathrooms, a relaxation room and a boutique-inspired closet. Guest suites are equipped with separate sitting areas. There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Outdoor entertaining areas include vine-wrapped and trellis-topped patios, Roman and prayer gardens and a loggia that opens to the swimming pool. Also within 2-plus-acres (0.8-plus hectares) of grounds is a bocce court, lawns and mature landscaping.
Muniz is known for playing the character Malcolm on the long-running sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. Away from the screen, Muniz has dabbled as a race car driver and musician. He finished third on the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars.

The Spanish-style bungalow, built in 1923, sits up from the street and has rows of terraced drought-tolerant gardens that fill the front yard.
Within the 1,300 square feet of living space are a sunlit living room, a galley-style kitchen, a breakfast nook, two bedrooms and one bathroom. Interior details include painted beams, skylights and original hardwood floors. A midcentury fireplace fills a corner of the living room.

The actress — and face of the Thigh Master exercise machine — and her husband, producer Alan Hamel, are putting their long-time desert home up for auction on January 31. The auction will proceed with no reserve, meaning there is no minimum price set for the property that once listed for as much as $35 million.
Sitting on a hillside, among boulders and native outcrops, the bohemian-vibe retreat is known as Les Baux de Palm Springs. It has been owned by Somers and Hamel since 1977, the year they were married.
The estate comprises multiple structures that combine to offer eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and two half-baths. The main house, designed by architect Albert Frey, draws from French villa style and has the master suite, office space and an outdoor shower.
Other amenities on the property include a two-room kitchen and a 5,000-bottle wine cellar with tasting room.
A private funicular railway system provides transportation to and from the estate.
Stone-lined pathways connect the various villas, outdoor dining areas and an amphitheatre. Also within the grounds are a lap swimming pool, a carousel and a waterfall-fed pond.
Somers, 71, is known for the 1973 film American Graffiti and later the sitcoms Three’s Company and Step by Step.
Hamel, 81, hosted such 1960s television game shows as Wedding Party and Anniversary Game. He later produced a number of Somers’ TV and video specials.
The compound is listed for $14.5 million.
