Celebrities share wishes on India's 79th Independence Day
On the occasion of Independence Day, Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan took to social media and shared heartfelt wishes.
SRK took to social media and shared a photo of him and his youngest child AbRam from their home Mannat, against the tricolour flag. “Our Independence is our greatest gift... a key to our progress. Let’s keep our heads held high and hearts open. Happy Independence Day to all of us... Jai Hind!” the actor wrote.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan wished his followers. “Happy Independence Day,” he wrote and shared a black and white video of him singing Saare Jahan se Accha bit from his song Pyaar Karona.
Akshay Kumar embraced the patriotic spirit this Independence Day as he arrived at Mumbai’s Kalina airport, wearing a green shirt with a tricolour Indian map badge.
In a video shared by ANI, the actor is seen stepping out of his car in the rain, posing for cameras, and notably refusing an umbrella before wishing fans a cheerful “Happy Independence Day.” Later, Akshay took to Instagram to post a heartfelt tribute to “real-life heroes.” "Freedom feels brighter when we care for the ground beneath our feet. Was enjoying beachside volleyball when I met these real-life heroes keeping our beaches clean... all smiles, all heart. #IndependenceDay #EverydayHeroes," he wrote.
Others joining in the Independence Day wishes included Hema Malini, Rajkummar Rao, Vikrant Massey, Arjun Rampal, Sara Ali Khan, and Ram Charan.
Suniel Shetty marked the day with a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Army. In an Instagram post, the actor was seen proudly waving the tricolour and interacting with soldiers. "No force like our Armed Forces. No pride like being Indian. Saluting the bravehearts who safeguard our nation and ensure that India breathes free. I wish Happy Independence Day to all the citizens," he wrote.
