US Vogue's contributing editor Kathryn Neale kick-started the panel discussion on fashion at the Middle East International Film Festival on Friday alongside Jason Wu, Brendan Cannon and Tunisian actress Hend Sabry.

Her take on...

Styling a celebrity for magazine photo shoot:

"The key is to listen to them. Very often, they have an idea about how they want to look. It is equally important to read between their lines. It is also challenging to take them out of their comfort zone."

Fashion magazines making or breaking designer's careers:

"I work on a day to day basis. I don't work by thinking about making or breaking people's careers. That would be overwhelming... that's Anna's [Wintour] job. What I care about is about the final look. I try not to be political when deciding on the designers that I choose either."
