The tragic death of Pakistani actor and former reality show contestant Humaira Asghar Ali has taken a more emotional turn as her last known voice note to a friend surfaced online, according to a report on Hindustan Times.

The 32-year-old actor was found dead earlier this month inside her rented apartment in Karachi’s Ittehad Commercial area. Police officials described the body as being in an advanced state of decomposition, discovered while enforcing a court-ordered eviction.

In the audio clip, which has surfaced on social media, Humaira is heard expressing warmth and vulnerability as she asks her friend to remember her in prayers. The veracity of it wasn't independently verified.

"I'm so sorry, I was travelling, caught up here and there. I'm so happy tum wahan ho. Mere liye bahut saari, please apni cutie si dost/ behen ke liye dil se dua karna. For my career, dua mein zarur yaad rakhna.”(Translation: “Please pray a lot for me—your cute little friend/sister. Remember me in your prayers for my career.”)

According to Geo News, her body was found by police and a court-appointed bailiff last week while executing an order to vacate the premises. The post-mortem report stated that her head and spine were intact, but the spinal cord was missing, likely due to the extent of decomposition. The exact cause and time of death remain unknown.

The friend who received the voice note reportedly tried to contact Humaira several times earlier this year but did not receive a response. Her silence now seems ominous in hindsight.

Humaira made her film debut in 2015 with Jalaibee and was last seen in the 2021 film Love Vaccine. She rose to wider fame after appearing in the 2022 reality show Tamasha Ghar, where her candid nature and emotional depth made her a standout contestant.

Her death has sparked concern within the entertainment fraternity and among fans, with many raising questions about mental health, loneliness, and the pressures of showbiz, especially for artists who live alone.

Authorities say the case remains under active investigation. While foul play has not been confirmed, all possibilities are being explored.
