Billed as the biggest Asian festival to be held in Dubai, Zee Dubai Mega Mela, presented by Centrepoint promises to be melange of music, fashion and glamour.

If you find your future professional or personal murky, then it's time to look up celebrity astrologer Sundeep Koachar. After having made some accurate predictions for stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Koachar will be anchoring his star ship at the Dubai Mega Mela. "Destiny cannot be changed. But what I do is prod people to make the right decisions at the right time. I want people to know their strengths," says Koachar. He claims that he was the first person to predict Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit's comeback after her marriage.
"When I told Madhuri's secretary about it, she was skeptical. But a few weeks later a film proposal came along and before you knew it, she had a signed up for her comeback film," says Koachar.

Music to your ears
Popular Bollywood numbers and Indian classical songs will get a boost at Zee Dubai Mega Mela. Setting the ball rolling is Pakistani singer Ali Azmat of Junoon fame. He will perform live on all three days. Bollywood music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will also set your pulse racing with their hit numbers at a concert on Saturday at 6.45pm. There will be a repeat performance on the same day at 9.45pm. Known for their electrifying stage gigs, tune your ears to their hits from films, including Dil Chahta Hai, Wake Up Sid and Kal Ho Na Ho.
Food for everyone
A string of popular Asian restaurants including Ashiana, Bombay Chowpatty, Indego and Da Shi Dai have set up stalls to acquaint you with their delicacies. From Michelin star fine dining restaurants to authentic street vendor-style cuisine, there is something for every palette.
Bazaar
Unleash your inner shopping goddess by stepping into the bazaar section. An array of jewellery stands featuring precious and semi-precious accessories, make-up stations and a craft corner has been put up to add flavour to the Dubai Mega Mela. While you are there, be sure to check out the henna-designing team.
Kids corner
The entertainment is not limited to adults alone. Children can head to the Fun City, the dedicated Kids' Zone. Presented by Centrepoint, some of the attractions include bouncy castles, arcade games, face painting and animal rides.
Beauty corner
For a quick makeover sessions head over to the Philips Health, Beauty & Wellness Theatre for daily live demonstrations. See leading henna artists in action and learn the latest trends from top make-up and hair experts. While you are there, be sure to nip down to the Nail Spa station or try on the latest products from heaven by Deborah Mitchell.
Fashion forward
The three-day fest will also combine theatre, fashion and dance in one production. Starting tomorrow, boutiques including Samsaara, BnK, FNK Asia and Soiree will roll out their fashionable wares. Centrepoint brands including Babyshop, Splash and Shoe Mart will also give you a heads-up on the latest trends. The show will also bring to its fold designers from India, including Suman Bajaj. She will showcase her Alice in Warland collection of gowns and dresses. UK-based label Unze, who is tipped to launch in Dubai, will introduce its brand of shoes and accessories. The Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan is slated to make special appearances on the fashion shows to be held on Friday and Saturday at 5.30pm.

Stars from hit TV shows such as Dance India Dance and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will perform live. Singing sensation Raja Hassan and expert dancer Kamlesh of Dance India Dance fame will add colour to the evening.
