Kung Fu Panda
Voices: Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu
In his dreams, Po the panda (Jack Black) is a legendary warrior whose foes turn blind after witnessing his "awesomeness". His father (inexplicably, a goose) dreams differently. While Po would like to try his paw at kung fu, pop who uses a secret ingredient to make the tastiest noodles in town, wants him to eventually take over his restaurant. "We are noodle folk. Broth runs deep in our veins," says papa.

Meanwhile, not far away in the Valley of Peace, Master Oogway (Randall Duk Kim) is all set to choose the Dragon Warrior. One of the Furious Five (Mantis, Viper, Tigress, Monkey and Crane) will surely emerge as the worthy one.

Eager to check out the action Po heads for the Jade Palace and accidentally ends up being crowned the Dragon Warrior. Well, almost accidentally you could say, because the great master doesn't believe in accidents.

But now that his dream has come true, Po suffers from cold feet-itis. "I have no claws, no wings, no venom," he bemoans. Oogway urges him to remain steadfast. "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called a present," he says. Wow!

So awesome and inspirational, don't you think?

Well, Po hasn't heard these words before and submits himself to a tough training session with Shifu the mantis (Dustin Hoffman), even more invigorated after the master delivers another original phrase: "You need to believe".

Po emerges as a kung fu expert at the moment when Tai Lung the snow leopard (Ian McShane) escapes from prison after "rotting" there for 20 years.

Can Po beat one of the most vicious foes that any superhero has ever met? You know better. But there's one thing I can tell you: you'll enjoy this movie.

Rating: PG.

Wanted
Cast: James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie

A thousand years ago ... A clan of weavers set up the Fraternity, a secret group of assassins who swung into action whenever there was a need to restore order in the world. Their motto: Kill one, save a thousand.

Six weeks ago ... Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is a troubled 9-to-5 worker in a firm where his boss loves to taunt him in front of his co-workers.

There's no peace at home too: His girlfriend is cheating on him. And the pills that he's taking to quell panic attacks don't help. It's time for Fox (Angelina Jolie) to step in and relate an amazing story.

It seems that Wes' long-lost and mostly-forgotten dad was one of the modern-day assassins who has recently been killed by a man who's set to wreak havoc on the planet. Wes is the only guy who can bring the evil killer to justice. He's inherited several superpowers that he was not aware of. Now the Fraternity and its head Sloan (Morgan Freeman) helps him to unleash them. But something doesn't ring true.
