Tinker bell
Voices: America Ferrera, Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Anjelica Huston

Disney's beloved fairy Tinker Bell is back as the lead character in her first motion picture. Another first in this beautiful movie is that she can speak.

Have you ever wondered how nature gets its glow and who helps the seasons change their colours? Any young Disney fan will tell you that it's fairies who spread light and brightness.

Far away in Neverland (no not the one that once belonged to Michael Jackson), the little ones work every day to make this earth a fun place to live in. Tinks enters Pixie Hollow in Neverland as the fairies prepare for springtime. Her Illustriousness Queen Clarion and her subjects give Tinks a warm welcome and help her find her talent. Naturally, Tinks is a tinker.

Every fairy aspires to visit the Mainland, but only 'nature' fairies enjoy this privilege. Tinkers have to stay put in Neverland. One day Tinks decides to switch her talent and willing friends try to teach her how to create ripples on water, form dewdrops on spiderwebs and capture the rays of the sun. But it's no easy task.

The message of the movie: with the power of faith and trust, any obstacle can be overcome. You have to accept your talent and make the best of it. Only then can you be true to yourself. Of course, a little magical pixie dust will help.

Bonus features include Magical Guide to Pixie Hollow, Ever Wonder (Discover How Fairies Put the "Wonder" in Natural Wonders) and a music video performed by Disney Channel's Selena Gomez.

The dresden files
Cast: Paul Blackthorne, Valerie Cruz, Terrence Mann, Raoul Bhaneja

This three-disc set contains the complete first season of The Dresden Files an intriguing and entertaining TV series based on the novels by John Butcher.

The stories feature Paul Blackthorne as Harry Dresden, aka Wizard, a detective who uses his magical powers to solve cases with a supernatural twist. The tagline to the series says it succinctly: If you need, help call the cops. If you need a miracle, call Harry Dresden.

Each disc has four episodes, with a total running time of 368 minutes. It may seem too long, but when you enter the Wizard's world you'll find it difficult to get out.

Helping Harry (a la Dr. Watson in the Sherlock Holmes stories) is Bob who resides in a skull but prefers to call himself a sorcerer rather than a genie.

Other regular characters are Lieutenant Connie Murphy who hires the cash-strapped Harry as consultant to investigate
spooky cases; Mai, the head of the Head Council which ensures that the dark forces do not overwhelm the earth; and Morgan, Mai's enforcer.

The first episode Birds of a Feather provides the setting for the series. Harry is shown as a child with special powers who helps his father perform magic shows for a living. We are also told how Harry was endowed with his amazing abilities I'm now waiting for season 2.

Rating: 12.
