Singer will join Australian pop punk band and Ariana Grande at annual event

He’s at it again. Usher will make his return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage with new music on August 24, the network has announced.
The multi-award winner will join Australian pop punk band 5 Seconds of Summer and hot artist Ariana Grande, who will be making her VMA debut, at the star-studded award show in California. More performers will be announced.
One of the best-selling musical artists in history, eight-time Grammy winner Usher is set to release his eighth studio album later this year, featuring his current single Good Kisser.
“Can’t wait to play the VMAs this year,” 5 Seconds of Summer said in a statement. It’s a huge honour and we always love coming over to the States. We can’t wait to play on such a big stage.”
The band, made up of Luke Hemmings (lead vocals, guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar, vocals), Calum Hood (bass guitar, vocals) and Ashton Irwin (drums, vocals), recently completed sold-out headline tours in the UK, Australia and North America and is currently on a worldwide stadium jaunt with One Direction.
