The Harry Potter TV series is said to span over a decade
Dubai: If you thought you were done with Harry Potter on screen, you’re in for a treat.
The all-new Harry Potter TV series has officially announced the names of young actors who will play the iconic roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
Meet Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout, who will play Harry, Hermione and Ron in the upcoming TV series. After more than 30,000 auditions last year, McLaughlin, Stanton and Stout were announced as the lead cast.
The three young actors will be playing the iconic characters which were previously played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint for the film series.
The newcomers will join other big names on the show including John Lithgow as the headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as professor Quirinus Quirell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, the caretaker.
The TV series version of the popular book and film series, is said to span over a decade, with the books author, JK Rowling acting as an executive producer on the show.
