Spider-Man star to make appearances, thrilling fans of the web-slinging hero
Abu Dhabi: Get ready to feel that Spidey sense tingle—Hollywood A-lister and fan-favourite Andrew Garfield is confirmed to headline the 2025 edition of Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC), taking place at ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, from April 18 to 20.
Organised in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, MEFCC 2025 promises to be a blockbuster weekend, with Garfield—the Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning actor best known for portraying The Amazing Spider-Man—leading an all-star line-up. He’ll be making appearances on April 19 and 20, thrilling fans of the web-slinging superhero.
Garfield, whose standout performances in The Social Network, Hacksaw Ridge, and We Live in Time have cemented his status as a versatile performer, is also set to star in Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt alongside Julia Roberts. He recently wrapped The Magic Faraway Tree, an adaptation of Enid Blyton’s beloved children’s novel.
Best known to Marvel fans as the witty and emotionally complex Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012–2014) and for his return in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Garfield continues to capture hearts across generations. His appearance at MEFCC is not just another celebrity meet-and-greet—it’s a nostalgic throwback for longtime fans and an exciting moment for new admirers.
Joining Garfield in this year’s pop culture celebration is Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler in the hit Netflix series. With the show’s fifth and final season expected later this year, fans can look forward to catching her live on April 19 and 20.
