The Emirates Rugby 7s
Why go?
- Every year the UAE goes wild for one of the region's biggest sporting weekends - the Emirates Rugby 7s. Come December 1, get behind your team and cheer them on through the competitive rounds, with tickets costing Dh350 for the weekend.
- With the UAE celebrating its 40th anniversary on National Day this year, the country will be submitting a national team to take part in the games for the first time ever.
- On Friday evening you'll be entertained by New Zealand covers band The Corporate Voice Experience, who'll be belting out hits by everyone from Johnny Cash to The Killers; and on Saturday evening, Million Dollar Band will be taking to the stage to close the show.
- Dubai-based rock group, Juliana Down, have penned an anthem for the event which is set to become the soundtrack of weekend. Your Time is Now will be blasted around the stadium, so you'll leave on Saturday night knowingevery word.
- Organisers are laying on plenty of transport, with free buses leaving from convenient locations across Dubai, including Dubai Media City, Dubai Festival City, Barasti, Nezesaussi, The Irish Village and Chi at The Lodge.

Creamfields
With Deadmau5, Katy B and Tinie Tempah headlining this year's event at Yas Arena, dance fans need to dig some cash out of their day-glo purses and get their hands on tickets to Creamfields, stat!
The most popular dance festival in the world has touched down in Abu Dhabi over the last couple of years and there's set to be entertainment all over the Yas Arena, including the Main Stage, the Infusion/Audio Tonic Arena and the Flash Arena - so there will be something to suit all musical tastes over the weekend.

The Odd Couple
Why go? This weekend, theatre company Backstage are putting on a performance of The Odd Couple, about two incompatible roommates, that was made famous by Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in the movie version.
The Neil Simon play actually originated on Broadway, but was adapted into a film and TV series after the enormous stage success.
Backstage has a keen following of over 700 members in the UAE and the impressive shows are always sold out, so make sure you book ahead, rather than turn up on the night!
