KC's no one-hit wonder

Sony Music has released KC Concepcion's second album, proving the young superstar is no one-hit wonder.

Many feared KC's career would spiral into oblivion after disastrous stints on TV, but the daughter of megastar Sharon Cuneta showed she has what it takes to succeed in this business with a catchy tune that is currently on radio stations' playlists.

KC proudly told the media at a recent press launch that she wrote three songs in the 12-track album simply titled KC.

When asked about her inspiration for the three songs, all about love, she said, "The inspiration is love itself. I am not dating anyone right now, nor do I intend to see someone.

"I am very focused on my singing career."

Mark takes on Fusion

Hollywood choreographer Fusion was in Manila to appear on the variety show Party Pilipinas, which debuted last week. In the episode, Fusion had a showdown with Mark Herras (below), the Philippines' own dance master. Herras earned praise for his moves, and critics said he held his own against the Hollywood artist.

This week, Fusion will be having a dance showdown with dancer Rochelle Pangilinan, who denied she was leaving the popular Sexbomb Girls dance group to go solo.

Rocco's movin' on up

Though he didn't win the celebrity search competition Starstuck, Rocco Nacino seems hellbent on proving he deserves a place in showbusiness. And he seems to be succeeding. He already has landed prized roles in two TV shows, one an afternoon soap series that is being directed by internationally acclaimed director Maryo J. delos Reyes.

When asked about his early success, Nacino told tabloid!, "This is what I have always wanted to do, so I am working hard to really make it big in this business. The Starstruck exposure helped a lot, and hopefully I'll stay long enough in this business."
