Inspired by Bruce Almighty, God Tussi Great Ho is a rib-tickling comedy of mammoth proportions.

Recently, producer-director Afzal Khan's delayed project Mehbooba bombed. The main reason was that the film didn't belong to the present era. The film's breathtaking visuals and opulent sets did, however, receive some praise. Khan seems to be in a better situation this time with his latest flick, God Tussi Great Ho. The stellar cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Sohail Khan and it has been directed by writer-turned-director Rumi Jaffery.

Hollywood-inspired

God Tussi Great Ho is a copy of the Hollywood blockbuster Bruce Almighty. Bachchan and Salman will reprise the roles Morgan Freeman and Jim Carrey played in the original. The film follows the story of a struggling reporter who blames the Creator for his misfortune. But soon, he find that he is omnipotent.

Salman-Priyanka's chemistry

Salman and Chopra are definitely eye-candy and have millions of fans. When they were paired together in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, the onscreen couple became an instant hit with audiences. But they could not recreate that magic in Salaam-E-Ishq. Hopefully, they will strike gold with God Tussi Great Ho. Irrespective of what the audience thinks of the pair, Chopra believes she shares a great working relationship with Salman. "It was a huge high for me to work opposite Salman in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. I also enjoyed working with him in Salam-E-Ishq. Salman is a fantastic co-star and a relaxed actor. After you do a couple of films with him, you become used to his style of working. His experience came in handy during this film. He helped me during the comic scenes," says Chopra.

Salman in action

This is Salman's first film of 2008. But Dus Ka Dum, his break-up with Katrina Kaif and recent spat with Shah Rukh Khan have kept him in the news. Salman was reportedly unhappy with the film's initial promos and suggested some changes to make them catchy. But Jaffery denies that the star ever interfered. He says, "Salman doesn't interfere with the making of the film and sticks to acting. The film has shaped up well and we all are happy with the final outcome."

Brothers in arms

One of God Tussi Great Ho's highlights is the teaming up of Salman with his younger brother, Sohail Khan. The last time they came together in Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya they brought down the house with their wacky sense of humour. The song, Chalti Kya is reminiscent of the track Love Triangle from Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya. Sohail plays Rocky in the film, a devious journalist who causes a lot of problems for Arun (Salman).

He says, "I play Rocky, a smart journalist who is a pain in Arun's (Salman's) life. He tries to ruin his personal and professional life. This role is much crazier than my role in Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya."

Irrespective of God Tussi Great Ho's outcome, Salman does not have much to worry about as he has two big films lined up this year – Boney Kapoor's Wanted, which stars Ayesha Takia, and Subhash Ghai's magnum opus Yuvraj, which stars Anil Kapoor and Kaif.
