Euphoria Season 3: Hans Zimmer on board to save the chaos, say fans, 'The music will be fire, if nothing else'

Hans Zimmer is stepping into the music spotlight for Euphoria Season 3, joining forces with returning composer Labrinth to craft the show’s landscape. The composer behind Interstellar and Dune called it “an honour to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson.”

Zimmer praised Labrinth’s defining contributions to the series and expressed excitement to help shape the new season’s emotional journey through music.

Known for his scores on blockbuster films like F1 and the upcoming Apple TV+ drama Chief of War, Zimmer’s collaboration with Euphoria marks a new chapter beyond his long-time partnership with Christopher Nolan.

Labrinth, who scored the first two seasons and even performed “I’m Tired” with Zendaya in season two, welcomed Zimmer. So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x.”

With filming underway after delays, the beloved cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi—returns, while creator Sam Levinson revealed his deep connection to Zimmer’s work. “I wrote this season to the score of Interstellar and True Romance. He’s been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning,” Levinson said. “I’m really proud of the work Labrinth and I have done in previous seasons and am excited for Hans to push us to new heights.”

The second season of Euphoria dropped in 2022, and now the highly anticipated third season is officially in the works. The show has experienced lengthy delays between each season, and last year, it was further prolonged owing to the writer’s strike in 2023.

Nevertheless, despite facing several delays, filming kicked off earlier this year. Fans can expect to see much of the original cast back in action—Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi—each having skyrocketed in fame since the show first premiered. Creator Sam Levinson continues to play a major role behind the scenes, ensuring the series stays true to its bold, compelling vision.
