Drake’s Dubai adventures on social media

When Drizzy comes to Dubai, he brings the whole crew with him for a good time. On Saturday night, the 28-year-old’s dream of playing in the UAE came true. But it wasn’t his first or last night here.

Drake’s been keeping fans updated on his local adventures since Wednesday, when he posted an Instagram photo of a UAE picture-book with the caption: “Life goal. Made it to Dubai.” He followed it up with a video of a luxurious hotel bathroom and a peek at the view outside his high-level window.

Later that day, Drake posted a photo of himself alongside Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, appearing to be on a boat. “Finally found my long lost brother,” he captioned it.

The next day, the Canadian rapper posted more photos from the water. One photo, captioned “Iron Mayne,” captured him hovering above water riding a Flyboard, a type of water jetpack that uses pressurised water to allow you to “flyboard” through the air.

At night, he posted a couple of artistic shots of silhouettes against the beautifully-lit Dubai skyline, one of which was captioned “Unburdened”.

Two days ago, Drake posted a capture of himself riding a fat bike, suitable for riding through the sand, and a shot of himself perched against a helicopter, accompanied by a shout out to his photographer, Theo Skudra.

Later, Drake posted another photo of himself and Shaikh Mansour walking side-by-side, this time captioning it, “So grateful to know this guy!”

He ended his social media spree with a still from his Saturday night Dubai International Stadium concert, taken during his performance of Hold On, We’re Going Home. “Thank you Dubai!”

If you haven’t managed to bump into him yet, it might not be too late. At his show, he claimed he would be in the city until Tuesday.
