Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, has completed its third day at the box office, registering a steady performance amid stiff competition. The film, released last Friday, is a remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal and serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 hit Dhadak.

According to Sacnilk, the industry tracker, Dhadak 2 collected Rs 4.25 crore on its third day, showing moderate growth compared to the Rs 3.5 crore earned on opening day and Rs 3.75 crore on day two. This brings its total box office collection to approximately Rs 11.50 crore in its first three days in India.

The film has received mostly positive reviews for its sensitive portrayal of caste discrimination through the story of a law student who falls in love with a classmate, only to face harassment from her family due to caste differences.

However, Dhadak 2 is facing tough competition at the box office. It is up against several releases including Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, the animation film Mahavatar Narsimha, Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom. Notably, Saiyaara, now in its third week, outperformed Dhadak 2 on Sunday by collecting Rs 8 crore, crossing the Rs 300 crore mark in India and being declared a blockbuster.

As Dhadak 2 navigates this competitive landscape, audiences are watching closely to see if the Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri romance can carve its own niche and sustain its box office momentum.
