Will Neil nail it?
After a smashing debut in Johnny Gaddar, Neil Nitin Mukesh's career has been sliding. Now, this new kid on the block is hoping his next two releases will help him find a prominent place in Bollywood's cosmos.
One is Vishal Bharadwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf, in which Priyanka Chopra plays the heroine and the other is Yash Raj Films' Lafangey Parindey. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the guy who made the super-successful Parineeta, Lafangey Parindey also stars Deepika Padukone. Apparently, Pradeep, was so happy with Neil's performance that he gave him an iPad. Get a life, friend!
Deepika's sari dig at Aishwarya?
When asked by the media why she chose to wear the sari at the Cannes Film Festival, Deepika Padukone said, "When I started modelling, I promised myself that whenever I attend an international event, I'd wear a sari and not Western clothes. I get enough opportunities at home to wear Western clothes. At a global event I'd rather be completely Indian."
Now, anybody will tell you that it is a clear dig at fellow actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who wears only fancy gowns at the esteemed film festivals, that aren't so flattering after all. Deeps denies the implication, of course!
But we hear that Deepika was keen to know what Ash was wearing before she decided on designer Rohit Bal's sari. Stardom thy name is insecurity, for sure!
