Abu Dhabi: The stars aren’t just in the sky tonight—they’ve landed in Abu Dhabi as the iconic British band Coldplay took over Zayed Sports City Stadium with their iconic Music of the Spheres World Tour.

This highly-anticipated concert, which attracted Coldplay fans from across the globe, is expected to be more than a visually -stunning show and is poised to be cosmic spectacle of music, innovation, and sustainability. Plus, the band's front man Chris Martin is known for deeply engaging with this fans during the concert.

And truth be told, getting a ticket to this once-in-a-lifetime show was a contest in itself, with fans across the world vying for their golden pass to experience Coldplay live. The stadium can hold around 45,0000 fans.

Coldplay, the maestros behind anthems such as Fix You, Yellow, and Viva La Vida, delivers a breathtaking mix of timeless hits and fresh tracks from their albums Music of the Spheres and Moon Music.

It’s officially Coldplay time

Before the concert took off, a short film about how the concert was eco-friendly was played.

Despite beginning few minutes late, the iconic British band, scheduled to begin at 7:45pm, showed how to get their fans on their feet. They kicked off the concert with their hit song 'Higher power'

Elyanna and Shone get the crowds warmed up

Palestinian singer Elyanna and Shone Are the warm-up acts—another 39 minutes before Coldplay hits the stage. Elyanna is on stage right now and is putting up a cracker of a warm-up act. With powerful vocals, great dancing and catchy beats, she is getting the Coldplay fans all warmed up.

Seamless entry for Coldplay fans

With just a couple of hours to go before Coldplay takes the stage, fans have begun flocking into Zayed Sports City Stadium. Gates have opened, and thousands are gearing up for an epic night. Stadium entry was seamless.

Gulf News spoke to dozens of fans who had flown in from various parts of the globe for this concert. “I can’t wait to see them create magic,” said Andrea James, who had flown in from Kuwait.
