Hollywood star Tom Cruise meeting BTS’s icon Jin wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card for 2025, but here we are, treated to hilarious banter and conversations between the two stars. Cruise, who was in South Korea to promote his final installment of the Mission Impossible series, featured on Jin’s variety show, Run Jin.

During the episode,  Jin asks Tom Cruise, whether he knows BTS. Cruise’s response was immediate and brimming with affection. “Everyone knows BTS! First of all, I just want to say, congratulations. Your band and your career and what you have created is really impressed, and I’m so happy to be on your show.” A delighted Jin immediately looked towards the camera, and hoped that the rest of his members were watching.

Moreover, Cruise seemed to know Jin’s activities, down to the last details. “I have seen you do gymnastics. I know you can run up the buildings and up the floors,” he said in one part of the episode.

The episode was filled with wholesome moments, with Cruise declaring that Mission Impossible isn’t just his movie: “It’s our movie. Just like it’s your band, or it’s your group.”  In another part of the episode, Jin got Cruise to video call with the BTS’ vocalists entire family.

The most hilarious part of the show, was when Cruise bid Jin goodbye and said, he looked forward to meet him. “We usually go to work in helicopters, but I won’t do any aerobatics.” Jin instantly declined the offer, “I would rather not see you in the air.” Cruise laughed and said, “Okay, we will meet on the ground, 250 miles an hour.”

Jin nervously answered, “That’s okay, just the ground then.”
