Shortly after Bloom attended Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sánchez’s wedding solo, this news surfaced
Dubai: After nearly a decade of ups and downs, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially gone their separate ways.
The pop superstar and the Hollywood actor have ended their relationship six years after getting engaged, with representatives confirming they are now focused on co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove.
In a joint statement cited by several outlets including People and USA Today, the couple shared that they’ve been “shifting their relationship over the past many months” and will continue to raise their daughter with “love, stability, and mutual respect.”
The news comes shortly after Bloom attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding solo, fueling rumors of a breakup. Perry, currently on a world tour, was notably absent.
The duo, who first began dating in 2016, briefly split in 2017 before rekindling their romance and getting engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. They welcomed their daughter in 2020, with UNICEF making the announcement on their behalf.
This was Perry’s second high-profile relationship following her marriage to comedian Russell Brand. Bloom was previously married to model Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares a son, Flynn.
Perry, now 40, remains one of the bestselling pop artists of all time, known for her chart-topping hits like “Teenage Dream.” Bloom, 48, gained international fame for his roles in The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises.
Though their romantic journey has come to an end, it’s clear their next chapter is all about family.
