Actor Zayed Khan, who had earlier collaborated with Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha to start film production house Born Free Entertainment, eventually left the venture to the couple. He says their filmmaking ideologies are different from his.

“Dia and I started a production house, but at this point of time I have nothing to do with Born Free Entertainment. I have given it to Dia and Sahil,” he said.

“Their ideology of filmmaking is a bit different. I thought we will be friends forever, but if our ideologies are different, why don’t you make your own films and I will make my films. Our plans are different,” he added.

Together, the trio had produced Love Breakups Zindagi under the Born Free Entertainment banner, in 2011.

On the big screen, Zayed, the son of veteran actor Sanjay Khan, has starred in films Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, Main Hoon Na, Mission Istaanbul and Anjaana Anjaani. His acting career hasn’t been too great, and he admits there was a time when he didn’t get a single film offer.

“If your career is on a low, you don’t get too many films, and then you have to work hard for that. There was a time I didn’t get a single film offer, so I thought I should change myself. In a way, it was a learning experience.

“I changed myself. Now people have understood that I am working hard... everybody wants to be associated with success, but it’s up to you to achieve that,” he added.
