Vijay and Amala Paul: Wedding for a cause
The director and actress will wed and donate to charity
This was an invitation card that was special.
Not because it announced the wedding date of Tamil director Vijay and Malayalam actress Amala Paul. There was more than that.
The card carried a line requesting invitees to avoid gifts and instead make donations to the Ability Foundation, a Chennai based organisation that works for the empowerment, integration and rights of people with disabilities.
Vijay and Amala Paul will be tying the knot on June 12 at a ceremony in Chennai. Amala Paul, who shot to fame with Tamil film, Mynaa has worked on director Vijay’s projects, Deiva Thirumagal, and Thalaivaa.
Director Vijay is waiting for the release of his next, Saivam, a family based drama starring Nasser and Baby Sara in the lead.
