Vidhu Vinod Chopra on status of Sanjay Dutt biopic
The director-producer will not begin production until he’s happy with the script
Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra says the Sanjay Dutt biopic, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, is a work in progress.
“Unless I am not happy with the script I will not go ahead. But everything is happening,” said Chopra.
Meanwhile, Dutt is most likely to star in Marco Bhau, which will be directed by Chopra’s sister, Shelly.
About Marco Bhau, Chopra said, “I will not talk anything about it. We haven’t yet announced anything officially on it.”
But the Parinda director hopes that at least one of his upcoming productions — third instalment of Munnabhai series, Dutt biopic and Marco Bhau — will begin production next year.
“Work is in progress for all our films. We will not make a film till the time we are happy with the script,” he added.
