Swaroop Sampat: Was scared to show Paresh Rawal ‘Ki and Ka’

Bollywood veteran actress Swaroop Sampat was initially scared to show the trailer of her next film Ki and Ka to her actor-husband Paresh Rawal.

Sampat will be seen next in the R Balki film featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles.

In Ki and Ka, Kareena plays an ambitious marketing manager of a firm while Arjun is seen playing a supportive househusband.

Sampat portrays the role of a progressive mother.

“He [Paresh Rawal] doesn’t see my work. I was scared to show him the trailer of Ki and Ka. But when he saw the trailer, he liked it a lot and said I was good in it,” Sampat told PTI.

“He was not surprised seeing me in the trailer. He was happy,” she added.

The 57-year-old actress does discuss work with her actor-politician husband.

“We discuss everything about work. We support each other. He is my best friend first and then a husband.”

On screen, Rawal has played many comedy roles.

“He is an introverted person but he is crazy. We as a family have great time always.” The couple’s two sons, Aniruddh and Aditya, are both interested in films.

“Aditya is learning screenplay writing in New York and Aniruddh is working as an assistant director on Salman Khan’s Sultan.

“Both have inclination towards acting. They want to become actors,” Sampat said.

“They like serious films, not typical Bollywood films. But they do like Paresh’s films and they think he is a great actor. They haven’t seen much of my films,” Sampat added.
