Actor reportedly has two officers stationed at his Mumbai home after threats
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is under the protection of Mumbai Police after threats were made against him by a local gangster, according to Indian media on Tuesday.
Times of India says the police have confirmed they are providing two plainclothes officers to protect the actor, one of India’s biggest stars.
It follows a shooting at Bollywood producer Karim Morani’s Juhu residence on Saturday. Reports did not mention any injuries, although a report said that a note was found at the site reading ‘SRK will be the next target’. Morani, with his brother Ali, has produced films including Raja Hindustani, Damini and Dushmani Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai.
Police suspect gangster Ravi Pujari is behind the threat, adds the TOI report. A case has been registered by Juhu Police over phone calls to Khan’s home from Pujari.
