Shabana Azmi remembers Farooque Shaikh on Eid

Veteran Indian actress Shabana Azmi remembered actor and good friend Farooque Shaikh on Eid. He died in December last year following a cardiac arrest.

The 63-year-old actress recalled earlier Eid celebrations, when the Tumhari Amrita (1992) stars used to have a competition of preparing sheer korma (milk with dates), a customary delicacy at Eid.

“Missing Farooque Shaikh. Every eid we used to have a fierce competition ki sheer qorma kiske ghar ka behtar hai [whose sheer korma is better],” she wrote on her Twitter page.
