The filming for Salman Khan’s spy thriller, Tiger Zinda Hai, is going full throttle in Abu Dhabi.
Its director Ali Abbas Zafar took to Twitter this week to update his fans on the rapid progress he’s making on his 65-day schedule with Khan and crew.
On May 8th, he posted a picture of the Arkan cement factory and promised his fans that it was a superb location.
“Shooting Tiger Zinda Hai at the stunning Arkan cement factory. Thank you authorities for your priceless support, trust me it looks beautiful,” said Zafar in his tweet.
His twitter updates also indicate that the team is burning the midnight oil in the desert.
On May 6th, Zafar tweeted: “Shoot life, early morning @TigerZindaHai #abu dhabi”. A picture of a sunrise also accompanied his tweet.
And Zafar is no innocent bystander in the filming of Tiger Zinda Hai in the capital. His tweets indicate that he was actively participating in the location scouting. A picture of vehicles making their way into a sun-kissed desert also made it to his page.
A set was also designed by the workers who built the Star Wars set in 2013 for this Hindi film sequel and a local events company had placed an advertisements for extras in the film.
The Yash Raj Films (YRF) project is a sequel to the blockbuster film Ek Tha Tiger and also stars Katrina Kaif.
The filming of Tiger Zinda Hai is a jewel in the crown of Abu Dhabi filming scene because it’s not often that A-listers such as Khan and Kaif spend over two months filming in a city. Kaif was earlier there in Abu Dhabi to film Bang Bang! with Hrithik Roshan.
Khan is a regular visitor to the UAE and will soon be in Dubai next week to unveil the song for Tubelight on May 16th.
