Priyanka Chopra to host anti-poverty concert

Actress Priyanka Chopra will join Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman and Salma Hayek to host an anti-poverty concert that is being headlined by Metallica, Rihanna and Selena Gomez in New York.

Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris and Seth Meyers are among the other hosts for the fifth annual Global Citizen Festival that will take place on September 24 in Central Park.

The evening, which has been billed as a free event to help raise awareness for the Global Goals set by the United Nations since its inception, will also see performances by artist such as Kendrick Lamar and Major Lazer.

The glittering event will have guest performers Chris Martin and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. Usher, Ellie Goulding, Yandel, and Cat Stevens round out this year’s performers.
