Actress was invited by Dutch organisation Free A Girl to talk on the issue

Actress Mallika Sherawat says it is important to break the silence in many countries about child prostitution and the need to prosecute the offenders.
The 40-year-old actress was recently invited to Amsterdam by the Dutch organisation Free A Girl to visit their headquarters and talk about the issue of sexual exploitation of children and human trafficking.
“Now it’s time for action,” Sherawat said in a statement.
The actress also features in a documentary Free a Girl, which was shot extensively here.
“I believe that there is a need to change the conversation, to mobilise society to rally behind the girls that have fallen victim to this crime, and to demand justice,” she added.
