Madhuri Dixit shoots a commercial in Dubai

Madhuri Dixit-Nene recently filmed a commercial in Dubai and says the word “overexposure” doesn’t exist in her lexicon. The actress, who is on a brand endorsement roll with products ranging from tea to toothbrushes, shot for a day in the UAE for the furniture store PAN Emirates.

“With Facebook, Twitter and cameraphones that capture the most mundane things, can anyone be overexposed? But I like to associate myself with companies that I can identify with,” said Dixit-Nene over the phone. In the advertisement, the Gulaab Gang star is shown fawning over pieces of furniture at a place that looks like her home. But after a minute, the viewers are told that she’s in a PAN Emirates store and had got carried away by the pieces of furniture. She buys them all.

“It was such a pleasure shooting in Dubai. And the theme was so sweet that I agreed right away. Filming for an ad is a lot easier because we can wrap things up quickly, but it’s easy telling a story in 30 seconds,” said Dixit-Nene.

Asked if she would consider buying a home in the UAE, she told tabloid! that she’s considering the option.

“The thought has crossed my mind but we haven’t come down to it yet. My sons enjoy Dubai. They want to see the sand dunes and the Burj Khalifa on the same day,” said Dixit-Nene. Currently a judge on dance reality show Jhalak Dihkla Jaa, she has not signed on any new films since Gulaab Gang.
