Model-turned-actress Kriti Sanon, who won the best debut female award for Heropanti at the 60th Britannia Filmfare Awards ceremony, celebrated the victory with her friends. She says the celebration was long overdue.

“I have been dreaming of the Filmfare black lady from the day I realised that I wanted to be an actor. The award is special not just for me but for all my friends and family back in Delhi. So this celebration was long due,” said the actress, who is from Delhi.

Sanon’s friends flew from Delhi to Mumbai for the bash on Friday night. It was a cosy affair with her friends, who have seen her work her way into the industry, cherishing the win.

Sanon got the award at a ceremony held last month.
