Actor singer Ayushmann Khurrana, who will soon be seen in Hawaaizaada, says making the movie was as tough as it must have been for the film’s inspiration, scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, to make an aircraft.

Directed by Vibhu Puri, Hawaaizaada is based on the life of Talpade, who is believed to have built India’s first unmanned airplane.

“Yes, Hawaaizaada was a difficult film. It was as difficult as making the first aircraft of the world. The film took almost one-and-a-half years to complete,” Khurrana said at the launch of the film’s trailer in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Sharda. It will hit cinema screens on January 30, 2015.
