Bollywood singer Arijit Singh left fans mesmerised at Abu Dhabi concert

Arijit Singh's concert in Abu Dhabi this last weekend kicked-off with a high-energy bhangra dance complete with dhol players and fun moves.

The top singer belted out ballads and peppy numbers to a packed house in UAE's capital Abu Dhabi, his first live gig since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was sold-out.

According to organisers PME Entertainment, Singh’s concert set a new precedent in the UAE capital. “Arijit Singh’s show is the highest-selling ticketed event in the UAE since the pandemic struck the world,” Salman Ahmed, partner at PME Entertainment, told Gulf News.

He kicked things off with an energetic rendering of ‘Ye Li Hai Merin Aankhon Ne ’ from ‘Ludo’ and followed it up with 'Hawayein" from Jab Harry met Sejal, ‘Ghungroo’ from ‘War’, and ‘Binte Dil’ from ‘Padmaavat’.

He not only sang but also played the piano and the guitar. And when the audience wanted to get closer, he obliged, singing from amid the crowd.

The crowd, mesmerized, swayed to the beats and danced and sang along – the excitement was palpable.

As we jived and swayed to the music on a cool night, everyone in attendance made memories of an unforgettable musical evening.

He covered 60 songs in 4 hours - almost a herculean task for any singer, but the experience was nothing short of pure magic.

The singer made sure fans got their much-anticipated photo moments.
