Salman Khan shared the ‘Battle of Galwan’ motion poster on Instagram
Mumbai: After wrapping up work on Sikandar, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up for his next major release — Battle of Galwan. The makers have now unveiled the first look poster of the war drama, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, giving fans a glimpse of Khan in his fierce new avatar.
Sporting a rugged look with a bloodied face and intense expression, Khan appears as a soldier with a thick moustache, embodying the grit and resilience required for the role. The poster features the tagline: “Over 15,000 feet above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.”
The motion poster was released on the official Instagram handle of the film with the caption: “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is ready for the most powerful story of modern India. #BattleOfGalwan motion poster out now!” Khan also shared it on his own social media platforms.
Battle of Galwan is based on the deadly clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020 in the Galwan Valley, located in the disputed Ladakh region. The conflict, notable for being fought without firearms due to prior agreements, marked the first casualties in the Sino-Indian border standoff in over four decades.
The film features Chitrangada Singh opposite Khan, while Himesh Reshammiya has been roped in as the music composer. Reports suggest that three young male actors will play key members of Khan’s squad in the film.
Although the motion poster is out, the makers have not yet announced a release date for Battle of Galwan.
In addition to Battle of Galwan, reports say that Salman Khan will soon share screen space once again with his Saajan co-star Sanjay Dutt in a new film reportedly titled Ganga Ram.
