Asha Bhosle and Javed Ali in Dubai concert

Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, who has thrived in Bollywood for over six decades with numerous hits, will perform in Dubai on November 3 at the Sheikh Rashid Hall at the World Trade Centre.

The Dum Maaro Dum singer, who was honoured with the Dubai International Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014, is known for her timeless melodies including Yeh Mera Dil and Dil Cheez Kya Hai.

Bhosle has recorded more than 12,000 songs for more than 850 films and was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2000) and the Padma Vibhushan (2008) from the Indian government.

Bhosle will be accompanied by singer Javed Ali who is known for his Hindi hits including Jashn-e-Bahaaran from Jodhaa Akbar and Arziyan from Delhi-6,
