Dubai: Ankit Tiwari has some big projects lined up: He will be the solo music composer on the films Tum Bin 2, releasing in November 2016, and Baadshaho, starring Ajay Devgn, which is set to release next year.

Tum Bin 2 is the sequel to the movie Tum Bin, which was released in 2001, and stars Neha Sharma alongside newcomers Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati.

“[The first] Tum Bin was a very musical film. This is my first solo film as a composer. I’m doing the background music and all the songs,” Tiwari told tabloid! ahead of a concert at a Dubai nightclub on July 14.

Tiwari added that this was his major musical film.

Baadshaho has Ajay, Emraan Hashmi and Lisa Haydon. The shooting starts [soon]. I’m the solo composer for the whole film.” Tiwari said.

But first: The singer released his first single, Badtameez, in June, garnering a respectable 4.8 million views on YouTube so far. Tiwari told tabloid!, “This song will not be a part of an album.” He added that he might work on one in the future. Typically, singles in India do not do well unless they are connected to a film, which is why Tiwari was celebrating the song’s success with a party in Dubai.

The music video for Badtameez “looks like a movie trailer” but Tiwari adds that “acting is not on the agenda.

“How I look in the video is thanks to my director and everything is thanks to teamwork.”

Next up for Tiwari is Tay Hai, for the Akshay Kumar film Rustom; a teaser for the song was released today.
