Alia Bhatt teams up with mother for ad

Alia Bhatt has teamed up with her mother Soni Razdan to feature in an advertisement to promote a hair-care product.

The Highway actress says she has fond memories of her mother giving her an oil massage.

“Garnier is one of the first brands that I signed on. For the first time, I have got to team up with my mom, and do an ad along with her,” Bhatt said.

Her mother, an actress and director, says the ad with her daughter is “the best comeback for me”.

“Being a mother to a leading actress and being an actor myself, I always wanted to work with Alia. We share a fun equation and shooting was a great and memorable experience,” she said in a statement.

“Their chemistry was great as they bonded like any mother-daughter would when it comes to oiling one’s hair — a practice that every mother teaches her daughter,” said Rupika Raman, general manager, Garnier India, adding that the duo turned out to be a “perfect fit”.
