For the Bollywood brigade, Diwali — the Indian festival of lights — is a season to let go. When tabloid! asked them about their Diwali plans they were unanimous in their decision to gorge on sweets and spend some quality time with their loved ones.
This year, their decorated doors will be thrown open for their family and friends. Clearly, the thought of expanding waistlines will be tossed out of the window.

Diwali plans: "This year, I plan to do a pooja [organised prayer] in my house for the well-being of my family, friends and fans. I wish them all the success."
Asin
You know her from: Ghajini.
Fondest Diwali memory: "Eating all those tasty Indian sweets. When I was a student in Kochi, I studied in a school where there were many North Indian students. So every year, I used to invite them home. I loved playing with the fireworks (not crackers mind you) and eating all those yummy sweets."
Diwali plans: "In all probability, I will be celebrating Diwali with the London Dreams team with Vipul [Shah], Salman [Khan] and Ajay [Devgan]. I am sure we will all be busy promoting the film in the midst of Diwali."

Fondest Diwali memory: "I associate Diwali with spending time with family and kids. It's a festival that symbolises warmth."
Diwali plans: "My movie All The Best will release around the same time. So I will be busy with promotions."

Fondest Diwali memory: "Diwali is one of my favourite festivals. It is a time to reunite with relatives and friends. I love the lanterns that are hung in each house. The matching lamps show a certain kind of unity. Diwali is a celebration of food, love and happiness."

You know him as: The stylist to the stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.
Fondest Diwali memory: "The sweets. The variety of sweets that you get during Diwali is uncomparable. I indulge a lot during Diwali."

Fondest Diwali memory: "As a little girl, I remember getting fully dressed for Diwali since it was a big occasion in our house and then staying indoors because the firecrackers would scare me."
Diwali plans: Spreading the message of a Green Diwali. "Let us try and reduce pollution by not bursting fire crackers. All we are doing is burning up our money and polluting the air."
