Bips high on security
Last year, while shooting for Lamhaa in troubled Kashmir, Bipasha Basu felt threatened (no, not by any talented co-star but by lack of security) and decided to get out, leaving the crew, producer and the schedule in disarray.

"Yes, my work is my life. But then I've a life beyond work. I'm not going to risk my life unnecessarily for any film. Lamhaa is a difficult film. The producer and director knew why I left.
A certain amount of security was promised. The first seven days were absolute chaos – nothing was organised and there was a lack of security," she said.

This year, however, things are going to be different, at least that's what the producers of the film have promised this dusky beauty. They have assured her that the security will be beefed up and all care will be taken that her stay in Kashmir is safe. So Bips is going to Kashmir... for now.

BIG B not impressed with Slumdog...
While the whole world is raving about Slumdog Millionaire, Amitabh Bachchan is not happy with the way the movie projects India as a "Third World dirty underbelly developing nation", which he feels has caused much pain to several nationalists and patriots. Big B, while blogging, wrote that a murky underbelly exists and thrives even in the most developed nations. "Conditions the world over are similar. Perceptions differ, but the reality of life and existence is unchanged. Comments for Slumdog Millionaire and the anger by some on its contents, prompt me to say the above," Bachchan wrote. With the film yet to release in India, it would interesting to note what urban India feels.

Shahid is all smiles
It's been a year and Shahid Kapur has finally recovered from the pain of losing Kareena Kapoor. "The pain has receded.
I know that as an actor I'm not allowed to have complete privacy, even if I wanted to. I try to keep my personal life to myself. I want to stay connected with the person I am." So did a substitute who goes by the name Sania Mirza help him heal? "I don't like talking about her. But we do know each other and we're friends." Haven't we heard that before?
