Weighty issue
Ayesha Takia, who looked a tad chubby in her latest release Sunday, has decided to take matters into her own hands and undergo liposuction to get rid of those love handles.

She is the second actress, after Esha Deol, to go under the knife. Ayesha will be travelling abroad for it. And truth be told, Takia's trimmer version is much-anticipated.

Bipasha's balancing act
After movies like Corporate and Omkara, Bipasha Basu feels confident about doing meatier roles. This doe-eyed glamour doll, who was seen recently in Race, is doing Pankh next, in which she plays an imaginary character.

"I have the intelligence to understand that I need to keep a balance between commercial entertainers and off-beat cinema to reach larger audience," Bipasha said.

The actress is also doing Rituparno Ghosh's Bengali film Shab Choritro Kalpanik , in which she plays Prasenjit Chatterjee's wife who falls in love with her husband after his death.

Farah's new outlook
Motherhood has caused a paradigm shift in Farah Khan's outlook on life. "After becoming a mother, my life has taken a U-turn. I have become a softer and happier person. My priorities have fallen in the right place. Now I don't care who wins an award, which actor is charging how much and when award functions are scheduled.

Instead, I am always thinking about new ways to entertain my babies and impart knowledge to them, " she says. While Farah stokes her maternal flames, her husband Shirish (Kunder) has decided to take on more projects.

Ash chooses Rajni
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has rejected several prestigious projects including the offer to act opposite Will Smith and a Karan Johar movie – in order to accommodate a project with South Indian superstar Rajnikanth. Directed by Shankar, the movie is called Robot. Aishwarya says, "I want to work with Rajni sir. He is phenomenal. Everyone speaks of his tremendous experience."

Talking about the film, she says, "It's a total Rajni-Shankar-styled entertainer. There's no logic as to why I agreed to do it beyond the urge to work with Rajnikanth. Shankar and Rajni sir have approached me for so many films, it's embarrassing."

Creating opportunities
Darsheel Safary, the child artiste who has taken Bollywood by storm with his phenomenal performance in Taare Zameen Par (TZP), has in an odd way helped the careers of several other child actors.

It is believed that after the success of TZP, Darsheel received a deluge of offers but he has refused most of them, so dejected producers have had to look for other child actors. This has benefited Tanay Cheda (who plays Darsheel's best friend in the movie) tremendously. Tanay will be seen in ad-maker Vikram Singh's comedy Mastang Mama.

Ready to wed
After a divorce and a couple of flings – some serious and others not so – Saif Ali Khan is still believes in the institution of marriage and is keen to tie the knot with his latest love Kareena Kapoor. What is stopping him? It is their professional success, he says.

"We are serious about each other. We want to give it an honourable culmination. We are on this beautiful journey and we would like it to end in marriage. But this is not the right time as we are both busy with our careers.". But didn't Kareena say that D-Day was at end of the month? Looks like there are communication gaps in the relationship already.
