Bollywood buzz
Hit or miss?
Well, they have a big hit (Hum Tum) and one not-so big one (Tara Rum Pum) behind them, but the trade pundits are wondering if Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee have the ability to pull it off once again. Their next release is appropriately called Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (A little Love, A Little Magic) and is directed by Kunal Kohli, the director who gave them Hum Tum. Considering Rani has had a series of flops lately and Saif's personal life is in the news more than his professional, they have a lot to prove with this release.
Yana's aspirations
Here's a statement that's a definite jaw-dropper: "I am very open to both, item numbers as well as serious roles. But, I haven't come across a good script in the past two or three years. As of now though, my priority is my music. I want to compose and sing more songs. Secondly, my book on fitness will be out at the end of this year. Which means that Bollywood is not my prime concern," says Yana Gupta. Sounds fair but wait a second. Will somebody please ask her if she has ever had a choice in the matter? All she has to her credit is the item number Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo in Dum.
A size zero rating
Despite featuring a hot bikini scene Tashan has proved to be a disappointment. But Kareena Kapoor, the sole female lead of the film, is ecstatic for having managed to achieve a a body 'to die for'. "People are saying I want to be like Victoria Beckham. I think such rumours gained mileage when Saif got a tattoo with my name on his arm. David (Beckham) had done the same for Victoria. But honestly, I'm proud of my sculpted body. It is a look that I needed for Tashan," Kareena said. Maybe she should have concentrated on her role instead.
It's a boy!
Hritik and Suzanne Roshan became parents to another baby boy and the proud papa was cherishing every minute of it. "I never thought fatherhood, the second time around, would be so special and exhilarating. I can't take my eyes off the baby. He's so beautiful!". Although Roshan was hoping that the second child would be girl, he says that one look at his boy erased such thoughts. "The minute I saw my baby's face I was as content as I could be. In fact, he has already had his first photo-session! The entire family (of about 35 people) except dad, was at the hospital," said Roshan.
