She’s the actress everyone wants to be paired with, not only because of her stunning good looks, but also because of her talent. tabloid! chats with box office star Bea Alonzo.
Q: You’re one of the most sought-after lead actress in the industry. How do you feel about that?
A: I feel blessed. I have done some really wonderful films with really good actors. I feel blessed with the opportunities I get and I hope I get to do more quality film projects in the future. There are so many more roles I haven’t done, which I hope I get the chance to do.
Q: Your films opposite John Lloyd Cruz have been well received. Now, you’re being paired with Dingdong Dantes for the first time in She’s the One. How is it like working with him?
A: It was such a joy filming my latest project; we had fun on the set. I am honoured to be working with Dingdong, who is a great actor. I am thankful I was given the opportunity. I’ve heard a lot of good things about him from Zanjoe (Marudo, Alonzo’s boyfriend) when they worked togethr before in One More Try. Everything he said about Dong (Dantes’ nickname) was true. From the beginning, there was no awkward moment; he was such a professional and a true-blue gentleman.
Q: You didn’t have problems of any sort?
A: I know what you mean, and no nothing happened. Marian (Rivera, Dantes’ girlfriend) even sent me a cake that she baked before we went to work on the film – that was nice, I appreciated the gesture.
Q: How are you and Zanjoe nowadays? Do we hear wedding bells ringing anytime soon?
A: We’re doing great. Zanjoe is very loving and he’s so nice. I consider him a blessing in my life. Even his family are very good to me; and my family also likes him a lot. As for wedding plans, we have not talked about it yet, but when the time is right and when we’re both ready, I hope we can go down that road. We’re just enjoying what we have now. Marriage is a big thing, and having a family is a bigger responsibility. We need to prepare for that, we’re working hard to save for that. Plus, we also have our respective careers that we are taking care of. We have so much more to do, so no plans yet; but it’s something that we are preparing for at the back of our minds.
