Poetry event gets new panel members
Dubai: The Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation has announced the names of the advisory committee for the International Dubai Poetry Festival, in the framework of the continuous efforts in preparation for the first festival to be held in March.
A number of prominent Arab and International poets will take part in the festival.

The advisory committee includes a number of poets and intellectuals, such as poet Saif Bin Mohammad Al Mirri, the Director-General and Editor-in- Chief of Dar Al Sada Press-UAE, poet Saif Al Saadi, Managing Editor of Jawaher Al Emarat magazine, poet Ahmad Abd Al Mueti Hijazi, Editor in Chief of Ibdaa Masr magazine, poet Hamad Bin Mohsin Al Nuaimi, media advisor in the Qatari Ministry of Culture and Arts, poet Nasser Bin Kraidi Al Subaie, Editor-in-Chief of Al Mukhtalef magazine and Kuwaiti TV channel, poet Al Munsif Al Mizganni, Director of the Poetry House in Tunisia, poet Mubarek Bin Amer Al Omari, the first Deputy of the Bahraini Board of Directors and Head of the Popular Poetry Association.
Jamal Bin Huwaib Al Muhairi, Head of the International Dubai Poetry Festival organising committee, welcomed the new committee members and said that the establishment was keen to ensure the first festival was up to Dubai and the UAE's prestigious standards in the field of international cultural activities.
Poets from 40 countries, including GCC countries will take part in the poetry festival, in addition to poets from Australia, Canada, South Korea, China, the Czech Republic, Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Ukraine, Greece, Italy, Poland, and many other countries around the world.
