Kazem tells fans to get a life!

Iraqi singer Kazem Al Saher caused a storm when he asked his fans to stop paying so much attention to him and to focus on his music instead.

Al Saher told his fans that instead of wasting their time in fan clubs and on internet forums - they should work, study and do something fun. Some fans thought that the singer was dishing out fatherly advice to help them have a more successful life. Others saw it as a sign that the singer had become too big for his boots and didn't need them to increase his public profile.

Many felt that Al Saher has a right to protect his personal life from media scrutiny by asking for his privacy. Sure, he can& but he might also lose a few fans along the way!

Shireen's hefty demands

Egyptian singer Shireen has raised her fee for TV interviews to $60,000. The singer is said to have cancelled some of her scheduled appearances because the producers did not agree to pay the new fee, which is almost as much as she charges for her concerts. Don't you think you're asking for too much Shireen?

Nawal's sly move

Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi threw accusations at her fellow singer Nawal Al Zoghbi, saying that Nawal had stolen a commercial from her. Amal said she was nominated for a commercial for a contact lens brand, but Nawal asked one of her business managers to call the company owner and ask him to sign her on, instead of Amal. The singer also found out that in the contract, Nawal had settled for less money. Horrible isn't it?

Lies on Hosni's death

Egyptian star Tamer Hosni is not dead. The singer was shocked to hear such a rumour, which he described as silly and baseless, was being circulated. Hosni assured his fans that he's in good health, adding that such rumours don't have a strong affect on him. No matter how much someone dislikes him, they still shouldn't stoop so low so as to lie about his death, he said.

Embracing cultures

Controversial Saudi singer Jawad Al Ali has released a new album titled Bi Amr Elhob. The album keeps up with the popularity of Turkish drama in the Arab world by including a duet for Al Ali with a Turkish singer, and another duet with an Indian singer.
