A good concert
Najwa Karam and Melhem Barakat held a very successful concert in Qatar a couple of weeks ago, which was part of the Doha Cultural Festival. The highlight of the evening was the two singers singing Rah Yebka Al Watan (Our Nation Will Live) together. Karam's latest album is expected to be released this month.

A noble cause
Assala Nassri, Cheb Khalid, Fulla, Rami Sabri and Rayyan appeared together in the first episode of Taratata on Dubai TV recently. The five stars sang together and chatted to Nishan, host of the programme on various issues including music.

Drastic move
Mustafa Shaaban's wife has filed for divorce just seven months after their marriage. The Egyptian actor is said to be shocked at his wife's act, and has told friends that he was willing to settle matters with her amicably, and that there was no need for her to resort to such a drastic move.

A noble cause
Kathem Al Saher has launched a charity campaign for orphans in the Middle East. While appearing on the television programme Siri Wenfatahet, the Iraqi singer requested Arab poets to send him their lyrics, from which he would choose one to sing at a concert. The proceeds from the concert will be donated for the noble purpose.
