Actor Rohit Basore of 'Family Man 3' fame dies, family suspects foul play

Rohit Basore, who appeared in the third season of Manoj Bajpayee’s popular series The Family Man, was found dead near Garbhanga Waterfalls in Guwahati on April 27th afternoon, police confirmed.

Initial reports suggest that the actor drowned, though authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report for confirmation. Meanwhile, Rohit’s family has raised concerns about possible foul play.

According to police sources, Rohit had gone for a picnic with nine colleagues when he reportedly slipped and fell into the waterfall. Officials from the Rani Police Outpost stated that the incident occurred around 2 p.m.

Speaking to Guwahati Plus, police said, “We received the report around 4 p.m. and reached the spot by 4:30 p.m. The SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) team recovered the body around 6:30 p.m."

Preliminary investigations suggest Rohit’s fall was accidental, and authorities have not found any signs of foul play so far. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are ongoing.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Rohit Basfore was a trained actor with formal education in acting techniques. He had experience across various performance platforms, including stage, television, and film. Known for his dedication, Rohit spent significant time rehearsing and preparing for performances, while also working actively to promote his work and build his professional network in the entertainment industry.
